Once again I set out to buy groceries in Big Spring...only two stores you can shop at in Big Spring...Super Walmart or H.E.B. Today's list included Panko...this is a kind of Japanese Breadcrumbs commonly used in many recipes today. Not finding Panko on the shelves, I asked a stocker if he knew where it might be located....the stocker had to call a department manager who hollared down the aisle...."If she wants pan coat, send her over to the baking department and show her the spray-on stuff....we don't stock pan coat, but Pam will work just as good.".... I tried to explain that what I wanted was PANKO... Japanese Breadcrumbs... this set off a chuckle and the explaination that they don't carry Japanese bread... This is why I drive to Midland or Lubbock to buy groceries....
